3rd Space is a creative gathering concept rooted in the spirit of historical community hubs—like French Salons, Chinese Tea Houses, and spiritual sanctuaries. But instead of replicating a specific form, we sought to recreate the feeling they offered: connection, curiosity, and cultural vitality.
Leading the visual and physical design in bringing together 30 guests—strangers, by design—in unfamiliar settings to foster connection. My role centers on crafting the tangible atmosphere: technical sketches, tablescapes, signage, printed materials, and environmental details that guide the evening’s energy. From lighting and materials to graphic accents, I ensure every spatial element reflects the intention behind the gathering. The goal is simple: create a setting that feels personal, cinematic, and built for presence.
